2008 Indoor Kart Racing League (Speedway Series) - Format

Race Format (Revised 7-20-08)

By a vote of the drivers, a mandatory pit stop will now be required for each race.  See Rules Section E. Racing #7 (below) for details.

Race Format (Revised 5-1-08)

Racing will consist of two - 25 minutes sessions, with a 10 minute break in between sessions.  Drivers will draw for karts and then race the first session for 25 minutes.   Then a 10 minute break will occur, with driver's re-drawing for karts and lining up for session #2 based on order of finish in the first 25 minute session.  Drivers will then run a second 25 minute session.  Final standings will be based on points accumulated based on the order of finish at the conclusion of session #1 and #2.

Qualifying will occur with the first race of the year (Feb).  Everyone will qualify in the same kart, with weights, and run 3-4 laps. Starting grid in session #1 will be based on fastest lap time.  Ties in qualifying will be awarded to the first driver to post the lap time.

Future griding for races based on fastest individual lap times from previous race.  If you do not have a lap time from previous month's race,  you will be placed at the back of the grid for the next race.  Drawing for position may be necessary if more than one driver does not have a  lap time.
